Butterfly valve failure and its solution

Butterfly valve failure:

 

First, the sealing surface leaks

 

1 . Debris on the butterfly plate and butterfly valve seals.

 

2. The sealing positions of the butterfly valve and the butterfly valve are not consistent.

 

3. The flange is equipped with flange bolts with or without compression.

 

4. The pressure test direction did not meet the requirements.

 

Elimination method

 

1. Eliminate impurities and clean the interior of the valve.

 

2. Adjust the stop screws of the actuator, such as a worm gear or electric actuator.

 

The valve is closed in the correct position.

 

3. Check the plane of the mounting flange and the bolt pressure, and press it evenly, ## # 4. Rotate in the direction of the arrow

 

Secondly, the valves at both ends leak

 

1. The gaskets on both sides are not effective.

 

2. Pipe flange pressure is uneven or not pressed.

 

Elimination method:

 

1. Replace the gasket.

 

2. Press the flange bolts evenly.
